Wierd drawing errors
« on: May 02, 2002, 05:11:33 pm »

I haven't seen any other posts regarding this, so perhaps I'm the only one experiencing this problem.  Regardless of the view I'm in, when I left click on the scroll bar to move up or down by small amounts, the row height changes to either very short or very tall. If gridlines are turned on, the gridlines run through the text, making it very difficult to read.  As soon as I click on another application or even the task bar, the rows return to normal height.  This behavior does not occur when dragging the scroll bar or in any other application.  It's been present in every build.

Try turning skins on and off to see if that makes a difference.  Grid lines should not be available with skins.

Video card driver problem?

Turning gridlines off resolved the problem.  As much as I like gridlines, the distortion with them is worse than not having them.  I have a feeling it's not my video card (nvidea geoforce3 with current driver) as I can't duplicate the distortion in Excel with gridlines on.  The gridline distortion remained when I turned skins off.

By the way, how is the user to know that gridlines are not meant to be available with skins?
