Voxengo SPAN vst
« on: May 19, 2012, 12:03:02 pm »

Hello , a little help :D

Is there any way to make voxengo span vst work with the correct refresh rate ?? It is so sluggish atm !

Edit: I've notice that the sluggish ALMOST disappears if i turn off convolution, but of course this is not an option, just a info..

Thank you

Some visualization style VST plugins refresh only when data is added to them instead of continuously on their own schedule.

So for these effects, if something causes large data blocks to be processed at once (like convolution) the refresh rate will be slow.

Sorry, but I don't know any way around this.

If it helps, the built-in Analyzer should remain smooth regardless.

The top line is the total output (the sum of all the other lines).

In Span you can click Edit on the top right of the Span window and lower the Avg Time. You can also click Routing (not the arrow to the right of Routing) and change the groups so that each channel will show up in its own group. If you are using internal volume, you need to make sure you click Options the very top right of DSP Studio and check "Process independently of internal volume."

Here I am showing a 7.1 configuration with the left channel in green and LFE channel as the Underlay.

Here is an example of how I have the Routing setup:
