Blu-ray BDMV folder - no audio downmixing
« on: May 26, 2012, 10:22:18 pm »

I'm trying to play a blu-ray from a bdmv folder.. I open the index.bdmv folder with media center and the video plays back flawlessly.  it's a movie with multiple .m2ts files that comprise the video of the movie so I can't just directly play the video file.  But I notice it doesn't seem to downmix the audio..  dialogue doesn't play but it seems like the front right and left audio channels are playing.  I have the output set to 2.0 channels stereo and jrss 2.0 surround sound.  The audio is playing out of my mac minis headphone port to 2 powered speakers.  I have windows set to output from the headphone port..  it works via xbmc and powerdvd.  Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

SOLVED:  I had wasapi enabled..  once I changed back to directsound, it was able to downmix.  Is that normal behavior for the program?  I guess it could be

Welcome.

WASAPI should work fine if configured properly.
