Media center does not recognize new partition letter
« on: June 03, 2012, 09:09:11 am »

My songs are on my external HD which had the partition letter F:. After installing a second one, Windows XP automatically changed the sequel order and gave my old one the letter G:. Now MC cannot play my songs anymore due the the letter change. I altered the letter in the player option from F: to G: but to no avail. I am not willing to change the letter on the HD. So, how do I make MC to accept the new letter?

Use the Find/Replace tool or Rename, Move & Copy tool (in Update database mode) to change the drive letter / destination folder (as needed) from the Filename fields for the moved media.  It is this field that is the reference to the location of the media files.
