Channel scan finds no channels

Hi,  My TV tuner is a Hauppuage HVR-3300. It has DVB-T, DVB-S and analogue, but I only use DVB-S with a satellite dish.  I live in New Zealand and use the Optus D1 satellite.  I have been an audio user of Media Center for some time and have just started using it for video too, and am very impressed.  However, I would like to totally replace WMC7 with JR Media Center but TV will just not work for me - no channels scan (perfect with WMC7). I am using MC 17.0.160.
I have turned off WMC7, re-installed the Hauppuage driver, but still cannot scan.  Is this tuner OK with MC, have I missed something obvious?

The first thing to look at is the DiseqC setting.  I have not implemented it in MC yet.  So you will have to make a satellite selection in another application before you try scanning in MC.
