Hello,
Just got myself (my first) Android phone - Galaxy S Advance (uses Android 2.3.6. Asus Transformer with ICS 4.0.3, as I found, behaves in the same way).
Put some music on it via MC17.
Incidentally, it was a compilation album named "...All That!"
After the sync finished, I found that MC did create a folder "(Multiple Artists)" but it was empty!
When I browse to Android via USB from my PC I can see that there is a folder "...All That!" and it's populated with all titles.
It's not actually MC's fault but Android's. Sorry if it's been discussed before - couldn't find any info on this.
If I delete the leading "..." in the folder name, then Android reads it OK.
In the same way, Android doesn't see folders such as "..FolderName" and ".FolderName".
If the name is "FoderName..." Android sees it but just as "FolderName"
If the dots are in the middle ("Folder..Name") then Android sees it OK.
Dots in the file name are OK in any position.
Is there any way to deal with this other than to rename the problem albums?
Would be ideal if MC would remove those dots upon syncing (only from folder names not the tags).
Are there any other special characters to avoid with Android?
Thanks!
Max
