Feature Request >> Volume leveling for VIDEO
« on: August 16, 2012, 10:55:20 pm »

This was mentioned as a great feature for MC17 - that it would be a good addition to the to do list - but not to expect anything until MC18 as it would be a lot of work to implement. Well, here we are ...

Wouldn't even have to be automatic. Just the ability to set a maximum volume level and store that via a tag would be wonderful. I've got a lot of mpeg and wma home video and tv rips that are either too quiet or speaker busters. Be nice to be able to match those with my audio files so I don't have to twiddle about.

And yes, Normalize in the Video Options menu does help a bit, but doesn't solve the problem.

** I'd still like to be able to manually edit the results in the Audio Analyze window also. That works well more times than not, but there ARE cuts that need to be tweaked up or down based on real world results.
