What do you listen to most often [feedback wanted]

I used to listen to all that kind of stuff described previously in this thread, but now...

Exclusively EPIC DEATH-METAL.

 ;)

ProTip: FF to the ~1:30 mark in that video.  Hilarity ensues.

Glynor, a ProTip for you: that's EPIC DOOM-METAL right thar....  ;D

1) New Albums
2) Old Albums
This constitutes >90% of my listening. I often queue up a few albums if I'll be listening for a while. The remainder is mostly...
3) Shuffle list based mostly on genre, but sometimes other random tags that I've shoved into my music.

Oh, you're right of course. Oh well.  It was still funny.  ;D

For seriousness, I don't really have much to add to what others said.  I have some super-fancy smart playlists that use the ~mix feature, but I have that all sorted.

Mostly, I pick specific albums/songs and build custom on-the-fly playlists or I use Play Doctor.
Less often I use one of my special Smartlists or Smartlist-like views (based on rating, last played, genres, and stuff like that).
My wife mostly picks a Genre and plays on shuffle.  Sometimes she makes custom playlists too, or uses the Smartlists.

Actually while off topic for Playdoctor you are closer to the mark than intended....for me and the family it is "Radio" and currently MC is not the source (it is either the Intercom, Car, Webbrowser on the PC, or Tune-In on Android).  Couple of areas for consideration:
HW Tuner Support:  I've seen a few threads on asking about support for Radio Tuners / DVB-T Radio Station Support (they tune but don't play with a stalled blank video screen)
Client Access and Channel Selection:  You can of course use Std View to create links under "Connected Media" you know about but there is no scanning option (aka Tune In Radio) and no support for this from either TheaterView or Gizmo so client use is pretty limited in our environment.  Connected Media seems like a bit of an afterthought more than an integrated approach to Radio (or other streaming media).

Whatever choices you come up with, none of them are likely to be exactly what I want. I'd much prefer they were all smartlists I could set to my own liking. To make full use of PD's capabilities, I suppose there would need to be a way to specify how the list is to be used (i.e., [Prescription Type] = Seed, Select from, etc.). You could still provide stock defaults (and a 'reset to default' function), but then users would be able to modify the smartlists or replace them with their own.
