Charged US$44.98 even though upgraded to MC18 before 10 August 2012

I upgraded from MC17 to MC 18 on 31 July 2012 but was charged US$44.98. Don't know why the early bird discount does not apply? Thanks.

You have to have your v17 license installed (or use the upgrade webpage and enter your code) to get the upgrade price.

The purchase process should clearly show the price.

Let me check tomorrow if there's some way to change this after the fact, and then I'll follow-up here.
