SOLVED: Media Type VIDEO is not supported???
« on: August 16, 2012, 08:32:54 pm »

Hasn't been a priority yet as I've been using MC exclusively for audio, but ...

... No video options? Or am I missing something here?

I have NO video category on the main window, NO video import options, NO video listing in the OPTIONS window ... If I try to use the import wizard, all I see is Audio, Image, Playlist, and Other. Huh??

Windows XP MCE 2005 in case it matters.

I've got lots of MPG and AVI videos that work fine in WMP. If I try associating the extensions with MC and double click them in Explorer, MC gives me a "playback not supported" error message or locks up.

Only thing I can figure is maybe I had to manually add video options when I installed MC? Or maybe I somehow or other disabled video on the install? The FAQ says both formats are supported.

Uh ... no.

.

Uh. Yes ...

Working fine now. I figured it was something stoopid ... not even going to try to figure out why that wasn't checked by default.

Thanx.
