MadVr deinterlacing issue
« on: September 17, 2017, 04:57:26 am »

Hello,

I've got an issue when playing DVD ISO : dropped frame explode !

I can only use DXVA2 image upscaling. In this case the rendering time is insame around 15ms.
To prevent this, I uncheck in deinterlacing=>automatically activate deinterlacing when needed. But in anime, it's ugly.
It happens only when using my VP (4K), not with my TV (1080).
My configuration :
Win 10 Pro   JRiver 23.059    Madvr 0.91.11    Nvidia 385.41
i5 4570    GTX 1070    RAM 16Go
TV sharp (1080p)
VP Sony 520es (4K)

The issue seems to come from hardware deinterlacing of MPEG 2. It seems that hardware decoding doesn't works. I've check it in JRiver. For x265 it works correctly.
No matter with bluray ISO.

* WHen deinterlacing is activated (ON) :
During playing on TV 1080 :
DXVA 15ms
GPU core 70%
GPU Video Engine around 1%
CPU load 20%

During Playing on VP 4K
DXVA 30ms !
GPU core 95% !
GPU video engine 1%
CPU load 20%

A 2nd issue ,when I check in deinterlacing=>automatically activate deinterlacing when needed the chroma upscalign switch to DXVA automatically. It doesn't use what I check in MADVR settings. Why ?

* WHen deinterlacing is deactivated (OFF):
During Playing on VP 4K
max stats says by CTRL-J : 4ms I use super -xbr for chroma upscaling. And It works.
GPU core 90% !
GPU video engine 1%
CPU load 20%

The chroma upscaling use what I've check in Madvr Settings
