SACD ISO Importing Question
« on: November 20, 2012, 10:37:05 am »

I've upgraded from 17 to 18 and love the new library functionality with SACD iso's........my question is this: Now that MC18 does auto import these iso's, if I delete tracks from an album they keep getting re-imported over and over.  Is there a way to keep files deleted from SACD iso albums in the library?

Not absolutely certain but I think this is due as the iso is read "as a whole". Once dragged into it clearly expands but it remains a complete iso with all tracks in it. As an idea : You could extract the tracks from the iso's and store the albums as .dsf tracks. I use this and it gives me the same flexibility as I would have with other file types (individual file deleting, tagging, playlisting etc...). I found out that it is much much friendlier this way than keeping SACD as iso's.
