Inserting a CD
« on: September 21, 2012, 12:29:51 pm »

I am new to JR MC and trying to evaluate it within the trial period. I use it mostly for music.

I have been using dB-poweramp to rip CDs and want to continue doing that. If I insert a CD while MC is running, MC pops up a dialog that conflicts with dB-pa, causing hangs, extra windows to click, and delays in downloading metadata. Is there some way to set MC so that it will ignore insertion of a CD or pass the event entirely to dB-pa?

Tools > Options > CD, DVD & BD > AutoPlay > Audio CD: Let Windows Handle, or Nothing.

Well, it didn't work quite like a charm after all. It is a definite improvement, but . . .

MC no longer tries to rip the disc that's inserted, but it still pops up a "Multiple Match" window for many discs. It makes no sense for this to appear when Autorun is set to "Nothing," but it does. I can't find an option to turn it off . . . and even more important, to stop MC from looking for disc information at all?

Anyone?

Thanks!

In Options, enter the phrase "Automatic lookup" in the Search area.  Disable the found option.

Thanks again, MrC. I think we've killed it this time. :)
