Use JRiver MC as a remote for JRiver MC [solved]
« on: October 11, 2012, 12:18:29 pm »

All I'm looking to do is have JRiver MC 17 installed on one computer with the library all imported and ready to go(this part is done) then install MC on another computer in the same network, and use that other computer to control MC on the first computer.

I'm stumped about how to set up the server and the remote so that the server will play the audio and contain the library while the remote only reads the library and controls the server ?

[edit]
I figured it out, I just hadn't read the remotes page on the wiki thoroughly enough.

Glad you figured it out.

If you use Library Server, we call this 'Tremote' when you control it with another MC.

You can also do it with DLNA with Media Center, although I think Library Server is best in your case since you want the client to view the server's library.
