Charlemagne 8

I took your advice on audio processors and purchased Wave Purity. After only two hours including recording and learning time I have produced a CD quality copy of an LP. I tried this 2 years ago using EZCD and Sound Forge and gave up after spending a week on one LP with very poor results. My LP collection can now be new again. Thanks for the research.Next Page

You're very welcome Mavrick.
If you're anything like me, most of your LP's are in pretty good shape so there's relatively little to do to them that isn't inherent in LP's. (Yes Zevele, I know there are other opinions on that.) The other day I had an "opportunity" to convert on old, poorly-cared-for Lp of Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother".  It didn't even have an inner sleeve. If you are familiar with old Pink Floyd, you'll know that there are lots of "silent" parts in their work. Scratches are very evident. The scratches in this one were definitely the largest part of the sound. After processing with Wave Purity, the results were astounding. There are still ambient sounds in the background but they are more of a murmur. The original LP was almost unlistenable. The WAV files (now converted to APE) are now very listenable. I have converted probably a dozen LP's and I was still amazed at the results of that last one.
Did I mention that I was impressed with the results?

Listening to "Time" by Pink Floyd on the "Dark Side of the Moon" album in "My Head".

Seems appropriate after my last birthday.

"Shorter of breath and one day closer to death".

Jeeze.

Where might I find that Wave Purity program? I've got a few LP's I wouldn't mind cleaning up and putting on to CD.
If you could post the URL for a website where I can read about the program, that would be quite cool. Thanks. Next Page

Zrocker,
Thanks for covering.

Zevele10,
Your dad sounds cool. I trust he's not married.
I'm not really worried about getting old. 30 years ago, I would have sworn I would not live until 30. As long as I'm getting older, I am still winning.

My father is a widower[?] since 20 years
I will tel you something: 30 was much more a big deal to me than 50
50 was more fun.At the very time of my 50 i was in Vienna in the big wheel, the one you see on the movie the third man.And i had Champagne
30 i had a lot of "philosophy" going on,kind of flip
