I am completely lost on what's happened to my MJ and completely frustrated on how to to fix it...
scenario:
When I attempt to import an music from my cd burner through MJ, I get the error message: "Microsoft Visual C|PLS||PLS| Runtime Library". The error window goes on to tell me that there's a referencing error and the memory could not be read. I am then told that there will be an abnormal termination of the MJ program.
I've tried importing media files from audio CDs into MJ in every way I can think of and this error pops ups everytime. It seems to be specificly problematic w/ any kind of new external media files I attempt to import. All the audio files already saved on my system are still read and played through MJ in the "Playing Now" section.
I don't know what to do @ this point...
I recently upgraded to MJ plus, but I've NEVER had any kind of problem like this w/ the program before (at any point).
I alos recently upgraded my system to Windows XP Pro -- but, again afer intstalling XP, MJ still worked fine till now.
My system:
* Pentium III/ RAM 256
* Windows XP Pro
* CD-RW is an external USB drive (Sony CRX 10u-A2)
* I also have Windows Media Player and WinAmp installed on my system.
Something else to note that may (or may not) be part of the problem -- when I open audio CDs on my system, the tracks are read as "WinAmp" files...
* All I can think to do at this point is to unistall my present MJ and download the same exact version from the website -- but, I assume I'd also be losing my "plus" features & status which I already paid for...
* I also noticed that there's a section on the MJ website for dealing with "ASPI" related problems -- IS this an ASPI issue??? I DID notice that this section states that there's problems w/ drives, etc in relation to the new WinXP OS.
IF anyone can provide ANY info at all in regards to this problem, I'd be very appreciative.
I love this program and don't won't to lose it if I don't have to.
