Unfortunately, there is no way currently to define global settings for videos based on resolution or aspect ratio.

The Playback Info tag contains the information for shift and zoom. You can select movies and place the following into the tag:

(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)

This sets the zoom to 100% on my system. You can test on a few movies first before changing them all.

Edit: I just thought of something else.

You can go to File > Library > Import > Configure Auto-Import and set JRiver to watch a folder for import. You can specify that it automatically apply that tag to all video files that are imported.

Thank you! it's perfect for the moment!

One question: If I want: view all movies without zoom and keep the original aspect ratio of the video, ¿what is the code? I use a 1080p monitor and all of my videos have less of this resolution.

Sorry, I don't know this code!

(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)
(what is?)(center of image?)(what is?)(11:0 = 0 zoom?)(what is?)

Thank you!

but how to specify  that tag to all video files when auto-import? where is the option?

thank you!

For one video this code it's ok:
(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:225)

For another video of another resolution I need diferent code:
(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:265)

any code for all videos? only I want use the size of the original resolution for each video; so without resize.

Why do you want to view movies in their original resolution? If you have a 1080p screen and watch 720p movies in 720p, then they are so small.

Zoom does not affect the aspect ratio. They should all stay in their original aspect ratio.

If you want to see how the Playback Info field interacts with the settings, then you should just change the settings in a movie and then look at the Playback Info field tag and see what it says.

For auto-import, you go to File > Library > Import > Configure Auto-Import. Then you either click "add" for a new folder location or "edit" to change one of your existing locations. This brings up a folder settings dialog box and in the bottom you can set the tags that you want applied when importing from that folder.

Thanks for your reply!

I would like view in the original size because I don't like the quality of image when the program apply zoom. So I prefer view the original size.

Finally I found the option! thank you!!

im glad i found this thread - took me very long time to find a solution to this same problem

I have a lot of youtube vids with low resolution and was constantly frustrated in having to change the setting from fit window to 100% everytime i played them

Just in case anyone is confused  just change the playback info tag on the videos you wish to watch in orig size to

(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)

I had them all tagged in the genre field as "youtube" so was easy to select and update them all in 1 second.

Hi! Thank you for your reply!

I do it:
(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)

And I can see that this is for ONLY resolution video. I have many videos and each video have a diferent resolution.
So I need one code for ALL videos, this is the problem.

Por example, if I have a video 720x400:

If I apply this I get the 100% video:
(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:267)

If I apply this I not get the 100, I get a zoom of 178%:
(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)

I need 100% ever for all videos for I don't check it the option of 100% every time.

Any solution??

Thank you!!
