audio playback
« on: October 31, 2012, 04:55:39 am »

I have been here before with this problem and i am at a loss at how to get good music playback.
Movies are great but music has no power and the voices sound like they are in the background or mikes are turned off.

We have effects at full enhancement
We are connected to a kenwood av player via spidif.

using wasapi settings  5.1 chanels.
Should we try some other settings or is it the connection via spidif that is the problem.??

Are you using JRSS to upmix stereo to 5.1?

I think I have found the problem.

After ready much about sound on this forum I went back to the start and checked the sound in windows 7.

The digital speakers were selected and not the SPDIF.

Changed that and tested the sound, now I think it just needs the squalider tweaking.
