Webgizmo wg.jriver.com address - not working?
« on: November 02, 2012, 06:20:24 pm »

Hi,
I have MC 18.067. I want to create a bookmark in my mobile device browser to access WebGizmo directly. When  I use  http://wg.jriver.com/#mykey# , instead of showing me  the home page of webgizmo, it shows me  a page where I have to enter my key again,  select "inside network", and press "Accept". This is somehow annoying. I know I could bookmark an internal ip (e.g. 198.162.1.132/Gizmo), but my router changes the server's ip from time to time.
Is this a problem with MC or it could be my internal network setup?
Thanks!!

The Access Key method will update when your IP address changes.

Maybe the key you've entered has a typo.  I assume you're not adding the # marks you show above.

Thanks for the prompt reply!.. No I did not put the #signs, just http://wg.jriver.com/xfSATn . It sends me straight to http://jriver.com/webgizmo.html , where I have to enter the Access Key. I enter  xfSATn and select "Inside my network" ("Outside my network" is selected by default), press CONNECT, and then it sends me to the correct address: http://192.168.1.124:52199/Gizmo/mode.html.

I tried this in my mobile device (inside the network), in a PC connected to the server, and on the same PC that runs the server, in all cases I got  the same result. I tried it on Internet explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari (on the iPhone).. Any idea on what might be wrong?
Thanks!
