Problem restoring license
« on: April 17, 2002, 04:36:39 pm »

I bought MJ on 01/17/2002 (paid $24.98 with my credit card) and later downloaded the bete version 8.?? Somehow my copy of MJ 8.?? got corrupted. I removed MJ using Add/Remove, downloaded the version 7.2.280.

When I tried to restore my license, it didn't work. I got a message "Media Jukebox was unable to determine product name from the license". My .RRG file is named "MediaJukebox8.RRG". I copied this file and renamed it "MediaJukebox7.RRG" and tried to restore again. This time I didn't get the same message. However, when I try to use the Media View feature I get the message saying that I am in my 30-day trial period; i.e, the license restoration didn't work either.

What should I do to restore my license?

Thanks,

Bill

That license will work with 8.0 only.  But if you bought 7.0, the name should be MediaJukebox7.rrg.

Bill,
Download the latest Beta. The *8.rrg should work on it. Look forward, not backward.
