In regular intervals I get this "Ipod could not be properly identified....." message, but I do NOT have any Ipod or iTunes or anything else related to Ipods installed.
The music is on a SD-Card and MC seems to think the SD card is an Ipod?
No message, with the SD card unplugged.

Have a look at the contents of the card, make sure you have show hidden files enabled in Explorer.

Maybe there are some files/folders on their that trigger the message?

Only one folder "Music" on it.
I have it mapped to a hard-drive with Disk-Management, so I am able to include it in the windows8 music library.

Weird.

You could try disabling that folder mapping with disk manager see if that changes the behavior. Can't think of anything else really.

I unmapped the SD card, but the problem still exists. I guess this is a real bug and a developer should try to identify the cause for this behavior.

Is it possible there's a hidden folder called iPod_Control on the memory card?

As you can see, no hidden folder.
I made a search on the whole card: no folder or file anywhere on the card with "ipod" as part of the name.

There was one Hidden folder FOUND.000 - from a repair action. I removed it, and the problem persisted. But now, after a reboot, it seems t be gone. I'll "reopen" this thread, if the error message turns up again.
