I installed 18.0.195 on a new machine and tried to connect to my media library on my server. I enter the access key for my server, the client pops up a dialog 'connecting to server', that disappears and then it hangs. I am never prompted to enter the user name and password of my server. I made sure I am running the same build everywhere, I re-installed the client (other clients do work). No luck. I then decided to turn of authentication on the server and tried again. Voila, it worked. The only difference of this machine vs. the other ones that worked are that the other ones were installed quite a while ago and then upgraded again and again. The failing machine was a fresh install.

Same here.  But didn't post due to thinking my issue was related to first time hyper-v  install. If I disable authentication alll clients connect instantly,  and  plays
work as normal.

Also as posted already in version18 forum.  All gizmo files when played stutter every few seconds with latest version.

This is a problem I thought was fixed in 18.0.193 (it's in the history).

But there have been a couple reports that it's still happening, so we'll double-check.

Yup I'm having the same problem on only one of my clients weird though that it doesn't affect and other machines..  Any eta on a fix ?

To anyone having this problem, are you certain you're using 18.0.193 or newer on the server and client?

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem here, but I'll keep trying.

.94 here Matt. but this is my first VM install. which could be my problem. but from what others have mentioned I'm having same symptoms.
All jriver versions (servers/clients) are set to download stable (Recommended) and i have verified all clients and they are all at .94

Thanks Matt for the follow up... Have you also exp'd the jittery play as well (only effecting gizmo. Ive tested all clients those play smoothly, but gizmo is unwatchable)

i've ran tests on library server on 2008 R2 and all those files seem to play fluidly with gizmo.
So it's looking like it may be a server 2008R2 Hyper-V server issue.
Any suggestions or ideas what i may have set up differently on the VM in regards to Gizmo speeds?

settings in gizmo are set to medium. and both servers are set to conversion mpeg2/dvd ntsc stream in Media network client options.

Well it's still broke.

Just reloaded/installed jriver on workstation, and tried connecting to main library which is on server 2008 R2 NOT the Hyper-V library, and i'm getting the same authentication problem i was getting with the hyper-V library where it just sits there not responding after adding the key Or the ip address.

I've let jriver sit for over 15 minutes, and it just sits at Not Responding, and then i must do a end task via task manager, or click anywhere on the jriver interface and it will close itself.
