Default Media Library not used by default...
« on: July 15, 2012, 12:21:48 pm »

I always have to reload my 'default' media library. It is never used when I first hook up to JRM>

I have this suspicion of this: The default library is not on the PC I run JRM on. It is on a server (UNRAID) which when not in use has the drives spun down. So there could be a delay in access of a few seconds. But this is very annoying and problematic.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't recall when, but support for auto-opening a library was added to MC when open the current library fails.

At any rate, if your library is unavailable when you start MC because the disks are idle, perhaps it would be better to use a batch script to awake the disks and then launch MC.

Thanks! I'm sure that's it. The library is on an unraid server.

Maybe I can move the database to the local machine, even though the files are on the server. I'll give that s try.
