Some files won't add
« on: December 06, 2012, 09:48:26 am »

I've got some music files (an album) I'm trying to import in to Media Center 17. They are Flac, no different than a ton of music files I've added before. I tried importing them and they wouldn't go in. I looked at the file names to see if there was something different from my other files. I noticed that another similar file set were numbered 01, 02 etc. The files that wouldn't import were numbered in the file name 1, 2, etc. So I changed the file name to 01, 02, etc. Then when I imported it said the 9 files were imported, yet still I don't see them anywhere. If I just highlight the files and choose play in media center they play no problem but still they don't enter in to the database.

Probably they are not tagged so that they are grouped as a single album.

In the Search box (upper right), try typing a query that will show you all the tracks based on querying the filename field:

   [filename (path)]=<unique folder segment>

where you replace <unique folder segment> with a portion of the folder's path so that MC will show you what it has imported regarding this album.  E.g.:

    [filename (path)]=floyd\the w

will show tracks from Pink Floyd's The Wall.

Are all the tracks there, but just grouped in several groupings?
