Moving to a new computer

I have a new computer with Windows 8.  After downloading MC 17, how can I move my smart playlists (and any other necessary data from my old PC) to the new machine. Am populating the machine with software before downloading music files.

make a backup of your library on your old machine. import that on the new one. and after moving all the files to the new machine, reconnect if necessary all the files using the rename etc tool.
