Setting's for USB to SPDIF (Vlink) to DAC in MC18?
« on: December 25, 2012, 10:44:38 am »

I am currently running MC18 connected to a Squeezebox Touch through 802.3 Ethernet (hardwired) and plan on adding the Musical Fidelity Vlink USB to SPDIF Converter to my computer (USB side) and connect to my Musical Fidelity M1DAC using SPDIF.  This way I will be able to play 192k/24bit WAV files (Squeezebox Touch has a 96K/24bit limitation).  I want to make sure I know the correct MC18 settings to accomplish this.  Is there a set of recommended setting for this?

My system setup is below.

Thanks,

Windows 7 Professional 64bit (8Gig Memory)/1 TB internal hard drive
2X3TB USB 3.0 locally attached External Drives (contains my music files 96K/24bit WAV exclusively).

This might help for the S/PDIF setup:

Pay special attention to the part about output modes.

Thanks, As soon as my SPDIF cable gets here, I'll be able to test.
