Audio setting for video
« on: January 02, 2013, 07:55:56 am »

Hi here,
I upgraded form MC16 to 18 and I experienced a trouble in setting audio for video.
General audio settings are in Kernell Streaming two channels (stereo) with an external audio device (M2Tech-HiFace) via coaxial connection to the DAC and then to the tube power amplifier. There are no problems in audio playback.
Regarding the video playback, in MC16 in Option>Video>Advanced there was the option to set the Audio Playback device for video to an alternative audio device (Realtek Digital Audio - High Definition Audio through Optical connection in my case); in MC18 I don't find anything like this.
Now when I play videos/films I have to change all audio settings to send the correct audio stream (7+1) to the HT Amplifier.
I do something wrong? Any suggestions?
Thank you

You'll need to create a zone for each output.

This is better than the MC16 approach.  It allows each zone to be fully configured, including output settings and DSP settings.

Glad it's working.

You might want to look at ZoneSwitch:
