Automatic stacking by suffix
« on: June 12, 2013, 12:28:22 pm »

Is there a way to stack photos in the same directory automatically in JRiver by adding a suffix to a files name? For example I edit a photo named Originalname.jpg and and save it as Originalname_stacked_1.jpg. I want it to be automatically stacked, and the picture with the highest number to be on top. The same should work if the saved photo is a psd. And the metadata of the original file should also be applied.

If not yet integrated, it would be a useful feature I think.

And I also don't understand, in which cases JRiver produces sidecar files? Is there a way to teach JRiver creating sidecar files for .psd files? I happen to sync files between 3 different locations over a VPN network but metadata is constantly lossed with psd files as it is not saved inside the file.
