What is the difference between Smartlists and Play Doctor ?

Both seem to play tracks according to rules.

play doctor adds some extra rules. and how much those extra rules are applied depends on how you set the variety. the songs chosen by the doctor depend on what it starts with and what is skipped. when you skip a song from the doctor, it gets a line through it and changes what happens after that (try and you can see it). the extra rules are about genre artist, rating and who knows, bmp, and fall under of the Hippocratic Oath.

Another difference - playlists and smartlists are static once you start playing them (i.e. their content is added to Playing Now).  Play Doctor continually adds new tracks to Playing Now.
