non playback of 24bit files in Media Centre 18

hi,

i am current using media centre 18 to test some products but i've hit a snag. anything i try to play that is 24bit files from my bit perfect test files isnt played back at all (its just skipped over in the media centre)

the same files play on other playback systems (and used to work a treat on media centre 17). i have tried this on 4 different machines now with the same effect, so it doesnt appear to be PC/install related

my system is:

What is Options > Audio > Output Mode set to?
And, DSP > Output Format?

options > audio > output mode is set to WASAPI - event style, with the settings set to: exclusive access device, and 100mS hardware buffering

DSP > output format - is not selected (unticked)

You'll want to use DSP Studio > Output Format to always deliver the highest bitrate your hardware supports.
