Analyzing audio files
« on: April 16, 2013, 03:17:46 pm »

Hi,

I'm importing my itunes library to j river 17. I check the option for analyzin audio files.
I don't know one thing:
When the program analysing audio files, this information is saved in tag of mp3 file? or this information is saved in j river library?

If I make a backup of j river library and I want export to another computer ¿it's necessary analysing another time? I have 50.000 files.

Thank you!

Replay Gain values are saved in the library and the file's tag (unless you explicitly disable tagging).

It's a standard tag that should be supported by any competent program.

what is the name of this tag? "COMMENT ITUNNORM"? I can see this tag in many of my tracks. I supose that this tag is make it by itunes, not for j river. So, j river change this information for itself??

(unless you explicitly disable tagging).

what is this option?
I check "update tags when info changes". Is this option??

The last question:

If I want that j river DON'T CHANGE mp3 tags of my library with internet information, ¿what is the option that I need check?

Thank you!

We write to the standard Replay Gain field.  The implementation varies by format.

It's not related to the proprietary iTunes normalization.

I reply me:

REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK
BPM

And any tag that is in the program;

KEYWORDS
RATING...

All information is tagged inside the file.

before don't appear in the file because the program was analysing
