Problem with LH tree [solved]
« on: January 18, 2013, 09:27:52 am »

Hi
I'm using version 18.0.106

From time to time I get into a muddle using views. I need to do more to understand them. No problem.

In floundering around recently I have ended up with the following unwanted tree which I can't remove.

In the left hand tree, under Audio, at the end, after 3D Albums, there is another iteration of All Artists with all artists individually listed underneath. They all appear to be at the top level and they expand down to the next level. The thing is both Delete and Customise View are unavailable on these items.  I don't know how I got it there and I can't see how to lose it all.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks
John

Thing is if I did that you would know I've got an ABBA album  :-[

OK I'll pretend I've got a grand-daughter and I'll pretend it's hers.

sincerely

Right click on Audio in the tree (the top-level View) > Customize View.  Uncheck Support Tree Browsing.

That'll fix it right up.  While you're in there, if you want to not be able to "select" Audio itself (so make it like a folder, rather than an actual View), you can also uncheck the Allow Tree Selection box.  This is the default for those "top level" Views, but you may have gotten that tangled as well.

Fixed. Add me to your long list of 'admirers'.

Many thanks
