iMediaShare = Gizmo?
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:33:37 pm »

In trying to get my wife's Kindle HD Fire to see the MC server and play movies I get an application called iMediShare when I install Gizmo?

I can play audio from MC on her Kindle just fine

I can control the MC playback with her Kindle

but..when it comes to playing movies is says there is no playback device or the file format is unsupported. I told MC to convert and I chose mp4 720.

Suggestions?

btw: I was able to set up a Sony server and the upstairs Sony google tv sees MC and plays movies just fine.

iMediaShare is a completely different app, nothing to do with JRiver. It is a DNLA app, so it will allow you to do quite a bit with MC, as you've discovered, but it's not Gizmo.

Ok...I went back and redownloaded and reinstalled Gizmo to my wife's Kindle HD, it said it was already installed, I reinstalled it and launched it and...a movie played. I then went looking for the app and couldn't find it...until...I noticed that for location of app's she had "cloud" flagged. I switched to device and a movie played. I knew it was something small. In the end one just needs to keep at it and be persistent.

thanks for responding
