Is possible to have same shell integration of foobar 2000?

Maybe you need to associate the files with media center.

I get a Play option in my context menu.

But you are aware in that screenshot there is an expandable entry labled  "Media Center" right ?

That has the options you are looking for right there.

You can right-click on an album folder and choose Play; it will play all the tracks inside. That will save you a few clicks.

You might also look at setting up a custom view scheme in JRiver. You can view your music by Disk Location if you like.

That is just what I thought when I started to use MediaCenter.

However, I soon discovered that all the value of using MediaCenter comes when you import files, and then find them and play them from inside MediaCenter, not from Windows Explorer.

Yes, we are all accustomed to using Windows Explorer, because if we are not a fan of one media player, then you have to use Windows Explorer to do anything.

But the whole idea is to get away from doing that.

But the whole idea is to get away from doing that.

Unlike most of the people you are writing well: when I use Google translator, it is easily understandable.

I spent a bit of time on this, and unfortunately I don't think you can actually play a directory via the command line, unless I'm missing something.

Adding the menu to folders is easy enough, and I can get files to play easily, but it doesn't seem like directories work.

I don't get what's so hard about one extra mouse action, to be honest.   I know everyone is different, but expanding the  "Media Center"  Context Menu to reveal  Play options works on directories just as well as individual files.

Actually that doesn't work very well for any music player.

What happens is that you get every track twice or three times, if you have playlist files or cue files in the folder.

Only importing works reliably and cleanly.

To be honest, that would be the expected behavior if you were keeping a playlist in the folder with your music files, I would think.   Although I agree it would probably be nice if media players had some sort of logic to ignore them if actual media files are present in the directory.

But If I were to want to playback music by using playlists I would keep them in a central directory away from and easy to get to,  1 or 2 directory levels above the actual music files.

However in this specific case, we're talking about a user wanting to select a directory and queue/open whatever is in it in Media Center.  I was simply pointing out the action was already available if they'd just move their mouse a few pixels across the menu.  The fact its only 1 level down in the context-menu is hardly the end of the world
