zones? selecting playback pathway
« on: January 24, 2013, 08:54:15 pm »

MC seems to take over my desktop computer speakers - the volume and on/off controls don't seem to work when MC is playing -  in order for me to  listen through my external dac (PSaudio Perfect Wave with Bridge) I have to disable the computer speakers from control panel/sound.

I'm switching between these two outputs by player/zones/ either perfectwave or player-
isnt there some way to turn off my computer speakers from within MC and not going to control panel?
thanks

Are you playing back through the Bridge or through some other connection to the PSAudio ?

BTW, is that a Perfect Wave MkI or MkII ?

It's a new MkII with Bridge; only connection is via the router.
I think I found a solution: change volume to system rather than application,

Whenever I open up MC, it takes a while for the program to recognize the external DAC - and zone is automatically set to player. Anyway to make the PWII the default?
