how do i turn filtering off?  it will only play files in a specific play list.

What version of MJ are you using?

If it's 7.2, then there should be a dropdown menu towards the top of Playing Now (near the Find CD button - it's been a while since I've used 7).

If it's 8.0.239 or later then... well... here:
