Refreshing list of available subtitles
« on: November 18, 2012, 06:07:53 am »

Hi,

I am writing an interface plug-in that will automatically download subtitles for a video file. I want it to check for subtitles when video playback is started but the issue I am having is that the list of available subtitles that is shown in the OSD is not refreshed until the video is stopped and restarted. Is there a command that will allow the list to be refreshed while the video is playing?

Thanks.

I can't answer your question but I will say that I will gladly beta test for you. I can't live without subtitles and I am now downlaoding them manually.

A subtitle plugin will be golden.

Thanks and good luck! I hope you manage ::)  ;D

Well, that is one of my problems with JRiver. The quality of audio-video is amazing but.... things like subtitle are a must to me.

I can tell you that I have to do it with XBMC and then play it with JR, surrealistic....

It's a good idea, but there's smth I don't get: scraping (IMDB and such) is not supported because MC has to pay a fee; but dlding subs can be supported because... it's done by a plugin?
