files wont play update

I can record cds' and they play fine ; even though i can't play any songs out of 1500 right in MJ . Also i can go to hard drive and real player and media player and three others will play the songs but if i choose MJ as player it wont play .

What kind of files?
What version of MJ?
What exactly are you trying to do to play these files?
What message are you getting?
