What I'm really asking is will the file system be the same for these settings between PC and Mac such that either one could update them?

(The scenario would be I use my Mac to listen and rate songs upstairs in the bedroom, but later on want to use my PC that is connected to my Home Theatre system to listen to the same Library and share the same song ratings, playlists etc)

This does seem like a good case for setting one up as a server and the other as a client.  I'm hoping that some time in the future that will be supported on the mac version.  But my understanding is that it is currently how things could work on the PC version.
