Running 8.0 - I have a large database on one machine and have it mirrored on another machine (copied over to another hard drive.  My problem - the Playlist do not go with it.  How can I duplicate the entire database and playlists to another drive letter?  I tried exporting but that does not work.   My main database resides on d drive on one machine and I have copied it for backup purposes to another machine and on drive F.  I then import Media to get my Media Jukebox file set up.  All is great except the Playlist (now called mixes in 8.0).  

What am I to do?

Hi i think you just can copy all the playlist data from this dir:
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\Data
to the other computer

I don't use playlists, so I've never dealt with this issue, but I've noticed that under File on the menu bar there's a section called Export Playlist . . .

1. Copy all of the *.jmd" files from the "J River\Media Jukebox\Data" folder on the primary system to the "J River\Media Jukebox\Data" on the secondary system.

On the secondary sytem:

2. Open up the entire library in File Properties and go to Tools->Find & Replace.
3. Check the box for "Location"
4. Enter "D:" into the "Find what:" box (no quotes).
5. Enter "F:" into the "Replace:" box (no quotes).
6. Click Ok.

Open the entire library in file properties.  What does this mean.
What program am I in when I do this.  Sorry, I just don't understand.

There Must be a fairly easy way to get playlists over to the duplicate library on another machine?
Can some one help.

You might want to add a wish list item for this (if there isn't one already).

I'd vote for it (import playlist).

Doof's steps are exactly what you should do.  I'm not sure which part you didn't understand, so I'll go through them.

This is self-explanatory.

On the secondary sytem:

Open Media Jukebox on the secondary machine.  All your files should be listed, but if you look under the location column, they should all be in the wrong directory.  You have to change the reference to the drive.

I haven't tried these steps, but they look simple and right.
