search using tags?
«
on:

when ripping my CDs, I used the "description tag" for various comments - including words like "Telarc" or "wilson".
How do I find all of the "Wilson" CDs? Audio/search doesnt do it.
thanks

Try:
[Description]=telarc
See:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Smartlist_and_Search_-_Rules_and_Modifiers
for the full syntax. You can add a keyword abbreviation to shorten the search. Tools > Options > Library & Folders > Manage Library Fields, and select Description from the fields list. Enter
desc=
in the Search keywords box. Now you can search via:
desc=
term
@Matt - I thought MCs default large text fields were searched automatically. I recall you changed MC so that the "Default search field" is unused for default tags, but the UI still shows the field as searched (but apparently Description is not searched).
