Ok.  i used MJ since like v 3.0 haha.  and halfway through v7.0 my library would not save. like i would import all 4200 songs into my library, all great.  close the program and open it up and now it says only 1440 files, and then the next time lik 400 and finally down to like no songs.  i did everything i can think of.  reinstalled it, upgraded it, down graded it, got a new hard drive, reformatted, changed OS to XP Pro, changed hard drive from Fat 32 to NTSC, still, this happens! LoL!  got any ideas?

J river stated the MJ8 data base is more stable.

however if you have music01 reading the data base, and MJ trying to save data this will give you an error.

this also sometimes wipes out the MJ data base in MJ8.

most users will not see this problem, i see it from time to time due to my 113,000|PLS| mp3 large data base file.

normaly i have found that the problem your having is due to something being wrong in the data base, and a complete removal of the data base and re-import fixes it. i did have this problem a few times in MJ7, and that fixed it.

but i have totally reformatted my computer... twice and it still has the problem.  just installed the latest 8.0 beta and still having the problem.  could it be bad ram?

With bad RAM, I think that you'd be having occasional unexplainable system crashes.

had same problem, go to tools, import media and make sure the ignore files square is not checked.

I am having the exact same problem.  I have reinstalled several times to no avail.  Each time I restart MJ 7.2 rougly 60% of the library is missing.  Strangely, I do not have a "tools-->import media--> ignore media checkbox.  Is that in V 8.
