Track order lost when importing Media Player albums
« on: March 29, 2002, 11:40:38 pm »

When Import Media brings in files from Windows Media Player, the album track order is lost. It looks like Media Jukebox knows how to read the WMP database because it's importing genre, title, artist, etc. My guess is that WMP doesn't store the track numbers in the database, but instead relies on the order the track records appear in the database. It would be nice if Media Jukebox could figure out the track order and generate the correct track number for its own database records.

Actually, the only reason I want this feature is because the CDDB is so weak. I can kludge around that problem by ripping CDs into WMP, use it to get the album info off the WindowsMedia site, then import the albums into Media Jukebox for playing.
