I'm sorry as i know this is a stupid question, but can somebody in plain language tell me how to actually use a UNC path to import my library into JRiver 19 Mac from a NAS? Thank you in advance for the help.

You can't.  All Unix/Linux/Mac OS paths use forward slashes / and not backslashes \.

Paths for mounts will be under /Volumes, by default.

Thank you, I guess I was going down the wrong path so to speak. So what would a sample path look like? Or, what would I type in for a Mac? Do I just point to the mounted file share in the import folder or should I type some sort of Mac compatible file path? Thanks again for the help!

For example, /Volumes/Users/MrC/Music.

You can't tell from just the path from whence it came, but you would have mounted the remote file system via Finder (or other means) earlier.

If you've already setup sharing on your remote system, your Mac should see the computer in the Finder's Shared area (at left, in a Finder window).  If it is not visible, use Go > Connect to Server (or Cmd-K) and enter the SMB or other address there to mount the file server.  It will then be available under /Volumes, and the path will depend upon the share point you specified.

You can have MC import from that path.
