I gave a few to a friend and she says they started laying "small" eggs last week.  She is an optimist though.

Our chooks are successful.  On Christmas morning, I saw my ex-wife, who has been raising the chooks since July.  She gave me some of the first eggs (the brown ones):



and this morning, I made breakfast from three small ones:
