Moving to New PC
« on: May 23, 2013, 07:38:08 am »

I have MC18. I installed it on my main PC to learn how to use it and on a laptop to play music, the whole point being to investigate computer audio before buying more suitable gear.

I've now bought this more suitable gear, a dedicated media box, and need to put JRiver on that. However, from reading the help pages it seems I cannot install MC18 on more then two pcs. I can remove it from both the laptop and my main computer as it's not needed there anymore.

Am I allowed to install it on my new media box and if so how do I do that? Or, does it mean I have to buy it again?

You read wrong.

You can install MC on any machines that you own within reason with a single license.  Search the forum for "licensing" and look at recent threads.  I know I've, personally, covered the details within the last month.

MC's license allows you to install on all Windows computers that you personally own.
I have it on a server, a few workstations, one windows 7 tablet, and a few laptops here at the house (library server clients).
