Rip with Lame encoder

Encoder or MJ is not working. Tried to rip with MJ 8.0.199 Lame 2.0.44 but message appeared 'Failed to import file into MJ'. Downloaded latest - 8.0.234 and tried again. After rip was over message was 'Copy finished' I clicked OK button and then comment near the track appeared 'failed to import'. So what to do now?

Igor - what encoder are you using? MJ's "MP3 Encoder" (which is LAME) or the external encoder?

I am experiencing the same.  Failure rate when encoding is about 40% w/a 'Failed to Import' type message.  Somekind of transient error as a retry succeeds 95% - on one occasion had to retry twice.  Following is in use:

MJ 8.0.237
MP3 CBR 128KBps Lame MP3 2.0.45 as downloaded from MJ.
