For decades I had a rename rule that has worked fine up to today.  I have (so far) relied on the checkbox 'Assorted' for [Artist] on multi-artist albums' to assign multi-artist albums.

Now the rule is gone with the checkbox. It's now called 'Multiple artist'.

Is it just me? What to do to correct this?

I would like to have the following path like before:
d:\media\audio\A\Assorted\60s Music Revolution\01 - Good Vibrations.mp3

I crawled through the forum for some time and found a solution for me, works wonderful.

thanks for posting your progress to your own thread, I am sure it will help someone.

Do you not use the Album Artist field?
I assign "Various Artists" when they are not the same.
If it is a album that features some guest artists, the album artist I assign to the main artist and the track artists can containt more details about the guests.

Yes, I use the 'Album Artist' and 'Album Artist (auto)' fields.

When I import tracks, they are both automatic filled as '(Multiple Artists)'. So it would be an extra step to rename them each time I import a sampler?

You can blame me and my penchant for symmetry I suppose.

I bawked in MC13, and forwarded the suggestion again.

You can create auto-import rules to "correct" this if you want.  Since this thread is so old, please reply if you want help.
