How to show UTF Subtitles
« on: June 16, 2013, 11:37:10 am »

Hi Guys,

This must have come up on a previous thread.

How do you make UTF subtitles to show ?

I am playing a movie in MKV with UTF subs but subs are not showing.

I have checked video options and subtitles are set to auto play.

I checked all settings for sub options(size, location) and are correct.

Thanks.

Are the subtitles in a sidecar file?

If so, they must use the standard naming convention supported by MC.

Not in sidecar.

They are included in mkv container.

I have to use PowerDVD to show subs.

Am I missing something or does MC18 not show UTF subs?

Thanks.

Text subtitles should be supported.

Could you provide a sample MKV file you're having problems playing?

Maybe email a Dropbox link to logs (at) jriver (dot) com.

Thanks.

Just found out no subtitles are showing at all on any video file played.

Big problem

How do I send a sample file ? "Maybe email a Dropbox link to logs (at) jriver (dot) com."

How do I do this.

They are quite large.

Thanks.

Please make sure you're using build 201, from the top of this board.

If the problem still persists, a sample would help.  Dropbox.com will have instructions.

Thanks for your help.
