Media Jukebox Fails to Play

destruct:
IN MJ everything appears to be normal (visually); however, whenever I select any song,
on any album, and push the "PLAY" button (arrow), it immediately switches to PAUSE, and nothing happens.

It was working yesterday, today - not. 

Please help me solve this one.

What changed on your system?

If you did nothing, look at A/V software as being the culprit.

destruct:
a reboot cleared the problem.

have no idea why
